The International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) and Red Cross and Red Crescent (RCRC) National Societies work withall kinds of communities - from urban neighbourhoods to rural villages - to improve the lives of people in vulnerable situations. Our goal is to support communities to strengthen their resilience, so they can anticipate, prepare for, reduce theimpact of, cope with and recover from the effects of shocks and stresses without compromising their long-term prospects.Resilience has become a top priority for many organisations working in humanitarian action and development, including the IFRC. This online courseexplains the IFRC’s approach to resilience, including what your National Society will need to do differently.You'll explore and get hands-on with the IFRC’s Road Map to Community Resilience through the Enhanced Vulnerability and Capacity Assessment (R2Rvia EVCA). This course is intended to familiarize you with the IFRC’s key concept and approaches of community resilience and how to apply it in RCRCprogrammes and actions.
