Spiritual Care Qualifications

This curriculum contains both the required and recommended training for a Disaster Spiritual Care Service Associate (IDC/DSC/SA) as defined in the Disaster Responder Training Requirements document found on the Engage Volunteers and Employees / EVE Toolkit on The Exchange. Important Notes 

• Completing the required training does not automatically qualify the learner for this GAP. 
• Anyone interested in attaining this GAP must also meet the qualifications listed on the Position Description.  
• When all Required courses are completed, the curriculum will move to the Completed Transcript. 
• To review previously completed training, or enroll in Recommended training, go to the Completed Transcript. 
• Specific eligibility requirements apply to all Disaster Spiritual Care group/activity/positions. See Disaster Spiritual Care Eligibility Criteria for details.

The curriculum was updated on July 19, 2023 to match the Disaster Responder Training Requirements. If you completed a previous version, you are encouraged to enroll in the latest version to ensure you have completed updated training requirements.
