My Work
In 1996 I starting working in the city of Nova Friburgo, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, mostly among at-risk youth and their families in the morro (slum) of Cordoeira. In 2002 I founded a small church, linked to Iris Ministries in Brazil and internationally.
I am now leading a ministery called Avivamento Já, which hosts a web site, online community and online Bible study courses, targetted at Brazilian youth.
My Story
Originally from Christchurch, New Zealand, I worked for a number of years as a Computer Programmer and Systems Analyst. From a Pentecostal Christian family, I was raised as a Christian. In 1992 I joined the church movement which became the New Zealand Vineyard churches.
Following a short-term trip to Brazil in 1992, I moved to Brazil in 1994, initially with the ministry Youth With A Mission. In 1996 I began the House of Hope Project in the city of Nova Friburgo - RJ, which became a Comunhão na Colheita (Comunidade da Colheita) church at the beginning of 2002, linked to Iris Ministries international.
In late November 2005 I started the Avivamento Já! website and online community, which has since become the Ministério Avivamento Já.
